The bottle review
Here is a red wine to consider. Chateau de Valflaunès, Pic St Loup (Languedoc), Cuvée Espérance 2004. A rising star in Pic St Loup. Fabien Reboul accumulated wine-making experience in Burgundy, Oregon and New Zealand—returning to his native village to make his first wine in 1998. This is a lovely medium-bodied wine with lavender, spice and fruit flavours. (50% Syrah, 20% Mourvèdre, 20% Grenache and 10% Carignan). Under £9.00.
