Have you visited our Bistro & Cookery School?
Situated in the centre of the old market town of Devizes, The Bistro is a lively and exciting place to eat.
The dining area is split between the ground floor and the basement. If you enjoy a more continental experience and would like to feel the pumping open kitchen life, ask for a ground floor table when booking. The atmospheric basement seating allows you to hide away from the outside world in a cosy and quieter environment. In both situations you will get spoiled with delicious food and wine.
From the very first day we opened 5 years ago, we supported local farmers and growers, use ethically traded and unrefined ingredients to provide delicious ‘body friendly’ food designed to ‘wake up’ your taste buds.
Peter Vaughan has spent his working life in five star establishments. He is a member of the Academy of Culinary Arts and has trained at some of the most prestigious hotels and restaurants in the world. Peter has also won the prestigious Annual Award of Excellence.
He has two Cookery Booksas part of an ongoing series. Naturally Balanced Cooking and Simply Better Food for your Babies and Children. Signed copies of both books are available at The Bistro.
AS WELL AS THE BISTRO WE RUN A VERY POPULAR COOKERY SCHOOL
The classes are lead by Peter Vaughan, chef/patron of The Bistro & Cookery School. Classes run from 11am till 4.00pm. As there is a combination of demonstration, tasting and hands on experience during the class, we keep the groups small. The recommended minimum age is 16yrs+, however, very keen 12yrs+ children would be accepted but only with parent/guardian’s supervision. Please give prior notice of any intolerances or allergies when booking so that these can be taken into account.
Aprons, knives and any other equipment needed is provided. Food, drink, recipes, VAT and very nice things to take home are included in the price of £98.95 per person.
